Research Summits

Scientists discussing alopecia areata research
Dr. Amos Gilhar (center) participates in the Genetics and Immunology Breakout Session, 2018 Summit

The National Alopecia Areata Foundation conducts research summits on a regular basis to gather the alopecia areata research community together to share progress and discuss outstanding needs. Goals include reviewing new findings and establishing priorities for funded and promoted research.

NAAF brings together scientists from all disciplines to get a broad and varied perspective. Research Summits are part of NAAF’s strategic initiative, the Alopecia Areata Treatment Development Program, to enhance the understanding of alopecia areata and accelerate progress in the development of safe and effective treatments.
